Jaye – linguistic proof you are Wood :)
I’m listening to the podcasts, and I’m at those dealing with Tendrils, Tentacles and Triggers, where you and Leta talk about Tendrils taking the light of the Heart and animating your whole body, Tentacles coming from the outside and preventing your heart from being vibrant, and Triggers that activate the Tentacles.
I feel like sharing how much joy I felt when I heard Jay say at some point: “I hear tentacles coming!”, and realizing that it was a clue that she is Wood: connection to liver – ears, thus “hear”.
It struck me because I am very visual, and would’ve said “I see tentacles coming!” Along these lines, I’m now thinking that this is a manifestation of my third element, Water. And if it were a manifestation of my first element, Fire, I should’ve thought “I taste? tentacles” (yuk!!), related to the tongue. Taking the analogy further, an Earth person may say “Tentacles are licking/kissing? you!” – related to lips/mouth, and a Metal person may say “I feel tentacles”, related to the skin.
Any thoughts on this? The Fire and Earth are kind of gross – what would be a better expression?

So cool Silvia (Jaye thinks it’s a great discussion too). However, while there are sometimes different associations (not always agreement here), the primary associations are:
Liver – Eyes (not ears). So yes, Wood would say “I see it”
Kidneys – Ears, although Earth is listening for sure, but Kidneys are more about the quality of hearing, such as whether or not there is deafness
Earth is Mouth/Taste (probably why they’re such foodies)
Metal is nose (Large Intestine 20 next to the nose is called Welcome Fragrance)
Fire is the Tonuge/Speech, which is why it’s the element of talking all the time (communication)
