How to Submit Your Video Introduction
We’d love to see and hear from you! Please record a 3-5 minute video responding to the questions below.
Don’t worry about being polished or perfect. We want to meet the real you – your authentic presence is what matters, not production quality.
Questions to Answer in Your Video
Please address these questions in your video:
- Who are you and where do you live?
- Tell us about your current practice (if you have one) and your experience with Chinese Medicine, Alchemy, or related modalities.
- What’s calling you to the Master Alchemy Apprenticeship Program right now?
- Who are you beyond your resume or credentials? What should we know about you that wouldn’t show up on paper?
- Describe a time when you experienced real transformation. What made it possible?
- What do you sense this program might ask of you? What excites or challenges you about this work?
How to Submit an Application Video
- Find a quiet, well-lit place so your video looks and sounds good.
- Hold, or set your phone sideways (landscape) with the screen facing you
- Pro Tip: Before pressing record on our camera, take a deep breath and smile as you press record.
- After recording, make sure to watch your video through to confirm it looks and sounds okay.
- From your phone’s browser (Safari, Chrome, etc.) navigate to https://wetransfer.com/
- You do NOT need an account.
- Click the “+ Add your files” button and choose the video you want to share.
- Enter leta@alchemylearningcenter.com into the “Email to” section
- Add your email address in the “Your email” section. (This is where you’ll see all the info and any replies)
- In Title, add your first and last name then “MAAP Application Video”
- You do not need to add a message.
- Click the “Transfer” button, and your video will begin to upload with a progress bar.
- After uploaded, you’ll see a successful notice saying it was sent to us.
Other Options
YouTube (Unlisted): Record on your phone, upload to YouTube as “Unlisted” (not public), and send us the link
Direct Upload: Record a video file and upload to Google Drive, Dropbox, or WeTransfer, then send us the link
Simple Tips for Good Quality
- Find a quiet space with minimal background noise
- Face a window or lamp so we can see you clearly
- Put your camera at eye level (not looking up from your desk)
- Phone or laptop camera is perfect – no special equipment needed
- Be yourself – being authentic is better than polished!
